At Powerhouse we love the 5.0 Litre V8 vehicles produced by JLR. From the factory, these engines produce between 510 – 575hp depending on the vehicle specs at the time of purchase. With all that power, these engines pull very nicely, however, there’s always room for improvement!

We offer multiple ways to upgrade these engines to produce more power and torque. We have developed upgraded supercharger pulleys, which offer 30bhp increase in power as well as sharper throttle response. Combine this with an ECU remap, and you can see gains between 40-50 bhp.
These pulleys are widely considered to be one of the best £/bhp options available for these engines. You can read more about them here.
The next upgrade option is our 15% alloy supercharger crank pulley, which offers the largest single upgrade available for these engines. This pulley is typically installed in conjunction with an upper pulley but can be installed separately. This pulley produces great power and torque gains over stock. At 15%, boost is even more instantaneous dropping 0-60 times and planting you in your seat.
With this crank pulley some base models can see improvements of over 110HP and 200Nm extra Torque reaching 630hp. With this upgrade an ECU remap is also necessary.
We offer ECU Remapping for the JLR’s which can give you an increase in power of around 80hp. This increase feels fantastic, but to really put a smile on your face we recommend this be done alongside an upper pulley as the added torque from the pulley gives you tremendous power off the mark.

If you combine all the above, as well as an uprated intercooler, you’re looking at cars coming in around 630hp+. This is the Powerhouse Dual Pulley 650kit. Called so because with a few other tweaks on the exhaust and intake you can get these vehicles coming out with 650+hp. This kit gives you an exhilarating drive when you put your foot down, but with the JLR’s ability to turn the supercharger off when driving around town, it won’t affect your everyday driving and economy.
