JAGUAR 3.0 SUPERCHARGED V6 UPPER PULLEYS

The Eaton TVS supercharger fitted to 3.0 Jaguar models is an excellent compressor, which can be easily upgraded by changing the pulley.  This increases the driven speed of the supercharger, which in turn increasing boost pressure.  Our 6% pulley will increase boost by about 1.5psi allowing the engine to produce more power without the strain of revving higher.

The 6% pulley will give greater mid-range power and torque for better throttle response on un-mapped engines.  If wishing to make the most of our pulley a re-map can optimise the boost at lower and higher rpm delimiting the boost cap and increasing power further.

3.0 TVS COUPLER FAILURE

This is a common problem with the standard factory snout coupler.  The metal damping spring of the coupler fails, creating backlash in the system which makes noise and in time will cause internal damage to the supercharger.  If your coupler fails and you need to remove the snout to replace it, there’s no better time to upgrade the pulley while it’s all apart!

EXCHANGE UPGRADED SNOUTS

As an alternative to buying just the pulley, we can supply rebuilt and upgraded Eaton TVS supercharger snouts on an exchange basis, with new bearings and upgraded pulley fitted, and a new upgraded coupler –  which won’t fail like the standard item.  Or, if you prefer to keep the car standard, we can supply a standard specification rebuilt snout.

Power Gains

Results will vary from car to car, but you can expect about 20bhp from changing the pulley alone, or about 50bhp from the pulley in conjunction with a remap.  The graph above shows typical results form one of our 5.0 litre trade pulley customers, in this case on a Jaguar XKR taking the machine from 510bhp to 560bhp after pulley and remap.
